Adventures on Hot Tomolly
Fireworks
Fireworks displays are never better than from the water! You will have a clear view up close of the many fireworks displays we can take you to, which have included several local towns and parks displays, and even a private beach display few know about that rivals Chicago’s! These dates book fast; look for our updates on the Calendar which will list them as they’re announced. A trip to Chicago can include fireworks displays on at least two nights per week throughout the summer months.
AirShows
The Gary Air Show and Chicago Air Show usually last 2 days each. Due to her size, Hot Tomolly has been used by the pilots as their “turn boat”; feel the thunder in your chest as the jets ROAR directly over you! Both shows normally include either the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds display teams.

Boat Races
The Great Lakes Grand Prix boat races are typically 2 days in early August. Check our Calendar of Events for scheduling. You can also tour the race boats and talk to the drivers and their teams. There is a parade, and several local parties hosting the racers. Or, for something more sedate, there are several large sailboat races during the season, including the Chicago to Mackinac race, the NOOD race, the Tri-State race, and many others. It’s an awesome sight when the spinnakers fly on the “maxi racers”!

Party
This can include just about anything your heart desires, including a relaxing beach visit or swim from the swim platform, wine tasting, or just relax and socialize. We have even hosted meetings and parties at the dock. The spacious bow of Hot Tomolly sports a blaster stereo system with XM channels available; pick your music style and level of loud! In the salon is a flat panel display with surround sound, and Satellite DirecTV with tracking receiver, so the waves don’t disturb your viewing. Or, let us supply a talented guitar player, or more.
Water Sports
Hot Tomolly sports a water skiing capable 15’ sport boat that can be provided with water skis, wakeboard, or even a large sports tube for tubing the wake! There are also many styles of floats available for swimming and relaxing in the sun.

Chicago Events
This can include the many Chicago Festivals at Grant Park and nearby, (Lollapalooza, Taste of Chicago, Jazz Festival, and many others), or let us take you across Lake Michigan to the big city for a White Sox or Cubs game, or pre-season Bears game! We can arrange transportation to/from the game. Your chartered yacht will be waiting for you after the event. We can also tour the Chicago Harbors, and take in the amazing Chicago skyline. Truly an incredible sight at night! Watch the city lights glimmer and recede as you travel back to home port, then have a snack, snuggle up and take a nap while your crew safely navigates the ship home. This can be a late, truly memorable night.
Extended Adventures-Yacht Trips
Let us take you on a weeklong trip up the Michigan Coast to Mackinac Island, (no cars allowed, and the daytime "fudgies" go back to the mainland each evening leaving the whole Island to you and a few lucky others!) stopping at various exotic boating ports like Saugatuck, Leland, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs, or Elk Rapids on the way. On a sunny mid-summer day South Manitou Island resembles the best of the remote Bahamas Islands! Sleeping Bear Dune is an amazing sight from the water; you can plainly envision the legendary mama bear sleeping in the huge dune. Cruise beautiful Grand Traverse Bay and Little Traverse Bay, or experience treacherous Gray's Reef Passage, passing under the magnificent Mackinaw Bridge, or through the "Port Des Morts"Death Door Straits). Spend a couple of nights at Beaver Island, where artists and authors seclude themselves. Rent a "Tracker"and explore the gravel roads around the island. You can climb to the top of the lighthouse if you dare! Spend a night at trendy Harbor Springs, with its many galleries and fine dining restaurants. Or, take the "western coast route", and experience beautiful and rugged Door County Wisconsin by water, with its fish boils, quaint towns, artist colonies, and many fine restaurants. Visit the excellent Stone's Throw Winery. Return to your private stateroom with bathroom each night on the yacht, and don't worry about carting luggage, bags, etc. around. All sorts of adventures await you. To Mac(kinaw) City and beyond!! Your trip will be custom tailored to your wants and all extended excursions are priced accordingly.
